I’ve been lucky enough to work with dear friend JIM BAYNE raising money for his Charity SOFTPOWER EDUCATION for the past thirteen years and this is the latest of JIm’s (truly!) all-star affairs! Joining me in the Jazz Centre UK’s theatre wil be Jim’s hand-picked ‘GREAT BRITISH JAZZ BAND’ in a concert purely (and righteously!) titled ‘FROM DIXIELAND TO SWING!’. The five-star line-up comprises: JULIAN MARC STRINGLE and PETE LONG (reeds) IAN BATEMAN (trombone) CRAIG MILVERTON (piano) DAVE GREEN (bass) and GEORGE DOUBLE (drums) – so all we need to do is light the blue touch-paper and stand clear!
