I’m delighted to have been invited to provide the music for a jazz evening at the beautiful new HYPE GALLERY, 37 Broadway, Leigh On Sea, SS9 1PA on Saturday 30th September. The evening is for my good friend SEAN WILSON who starred in ‘Coronation Street’ as ‘Martin Platt’ for twenty years from 1985-2005. Since then Sean has become well known both as a sensational jazz artist (his work has been on exhibition at The Jazz Centre UK recently) and also as an expert cheesemaker and cheese cook! So I’ll be there with my favourite ‘Rat Pack Trio’ – Tim Huskisson (piano) Roger Curphey (double bass) and Alan Clarke (drums)- and there may be an extra special trumpet-playing guest as well! So do come along and join the fun from 7pm!
