A few thoughts from Digby interviewed on British Forces Broadcasting Service just after he had won the BBC Jazz Society ‘Musician of the Year Award’ back in 1979! Thanks to Martin Ley, the son of jazz musician Derek ‘Eggy’ Ley who also worked as a programme producer and gave Digby his first opportunities in broadcasting for BFBS.
