I’m thrilled to announce that – with Southend’s greatest entrepreneur Philip Miller – I’ll be opening our new nightclub ‘JAZZ AT THE SANDS’ which will happen on the last Thursday of every month! Our visiting guests for Opening Night include JULIAN MARC STRINGLE (clarinet, saxophones and vocal) and DOMINIC ASHWORTH (guitar and vocal) – the stars of Julian’s ‘Dream Band’ – along with our resident Rat-Pack Rhythm Section: Tim Huskisson (piano) Roger Curphey (bass) and Alan Clarke (drums). There’ll be some surprise guests too (we hope) and a dance floor if you’d like to cut a rug! So come along to dine, to dance – or just to listen!
