Pollwinning guitar giant DOMINIC ASHWORTH is my latest guest at SANDS BY THE SEA. Dominic (known as ‘Dom’ to all his many friends) joined my Half Dozen in 1998 but by then had already amassed a huge C/V in British and Canadian jazz; working (amongst others in the UK) with hit-parading singer Carol Kidd (‘And when I Dream’), composer and orchestra-leader Michael GARRICK, Julian Marc STRINGLE (in his ‘Dream Band’) and later with saxophonist DEREK NASH (star of Jools Holland’s Rhythm and Blues Orchestra) in his group ‘Picante’.
