This month we feature DIGBY’S ALL-STAR DIXIELANDERS in a tribute to the music of the legendary four-string guitarist/bandleader-spokesman and Chicago-style jazz legend EDDIE CONDON – whose cure for a hangover was ‘take the juice of two quarts of whisky!’ Featured – paying tribute to Eddie and his incomparable ‘mob’ including Bobby Hackett, Jack Teagarden, Wild Bill Davison, Gene Schroeder, Peanuts Hucko, Billy Butterfield, Pee Wee Russell, Cutty Cutshall and many more (but possibly not drinking that much!) – will be DIGBY (cornet/vocals); the sensational ROBERT FOWLER (clarinet and saxophones) – late of the great Humphrey Lyttelton Band, John Wilson’s Orchestra, BBC Big Band, The Great British Jazz Band et al); CHRIS GOWER (trombone) – ex Suzi Quatro, Shakin’ Stevens and Digby Fairweather’s Half Dozen (2000 – present!) plus DAVE PRICE (guitar, banjo – and hip-flask?)
